I loved the Migration trailer when I first watched it and the movie did not disappoint. The story follows the Mallards-a family of ducks in the heart of a New England woodland. Dad, Mack Mallard, is always trying to stop his two kids, Dax and Gwen, from exploring the outside world, much to the dismay of his wife, Pam.
One day, the Mallard family encounters a group of migrating ducks on their journey south to Jamaica. This really interests Dax and Gwen and with the help of their mum and uncle Dan, they convince their Dad to join the migrating flock.
An adventurous journey ensues. There's fun and despair along the way and great lessons for kids (and adults). It's a fun nature documentary and hilarious animated adventure the whole family will love. And the numbers at the box office are great too so it's worth looking into. As of January 8th, 2024, Migration has grossed $77.6 million in the United States and Canada, and $74.5 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $152 million. Source
