African Apocalypse

Description

A young, black British-Nigerian poet/activist is haunted by the ghosts of colonialism that he thinks the world refuses to face. He travels across West Africa in search of the origins of Joseph Conrad’s chillingly immortal phrase ‘exterminate all the brutes’. Encounters and discoveries along the journey suggest a surprising and poetic way out of colonialism’s lingering Heart of Darkness towards the Light.
