World Rhino Day is celebrated on September 22 every year. This special day provides the opportunity for cause-related organizations, NGOs, zoos, and members of the public to celebrate rhinos in their own unique ways.
Ol Pejeta, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East and Central Africa has over 30 years of rhino conservation experience under their belt. This year, they've rolled out public participation initiatives to help support this endangered species.
If you'd like to lend your money and or time towards this noble conservation cause, here's how you can help:
Name a Rhino
Ol Pejeta allows you a unique chance to name one of Ol Pejeta's 25 unnamed rhinos. Whether for you or as a gift to a loved one, it is a special way to support Ol Pejeta. All rhinos are referred to by their names by the patrol team.
Adopt Baraka
Do you prefer to support them monthly?
You can adopt their black rhino Ambassador, Baraka. The funds received from this go towards keeping Baraka healthy in a natural, safe and free environment.
Emergency Appeal
The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have been devastating to conservation. Loss of tourism revenue that was vital to the day to day management of the conservancy saw major cutbacks in their operations. They need your help to make sure years of hard work aren't undone. You can sign up to be a monthly giver or give a one-time gift
Happy Rhino Day!
