Noni Maingi Disses Whitecap Lovers; Clapback Ensues
Twitter feminist Muthoni Maingi bore the brunt of netizens over the weekend for dissing people who take Whitecap beer. "Drinking Whitecap will have you having to filter yourself until you look like a bald, brown egg", part of the now deleted tweet read. This resulted in a wave of mixed reactions, most criticizing her over the statement. She later tweeted an "apology", "Ooh my bad I didn't know women who market Whitecap were being body shamed. Thanks for letting me know @theMagunga not my intention but impact over intention. Poleni", which made matters even worse.Whitecap babes under sieke??? pic.twitter.com/9pDhLU5onW
