Novelist Toni Morrison Passes On at 88
Nobel laureate and US author Toni Morrison,88, has passed on following a short illness. Her family announced, adding, "She passed away peacefully last night [August 5th] surrounded by family and friends". Morrison, who became the first black woman to win the Nobel Prize in literature, is best known for her books "Song of Solomon" and "The Bluest Eye" among others. Big Square Founder, Morne Deetlefs Exits
Morne Deetlefs, founder of Big Square has exited the fast-food chain but still remains a director. The South-African born left the chain after being compensated by his business partners. "Mr. Deetlefs has decided to step down from the business and he is now establishing new business in Ghana. He is no longer on the normal day to day operations of the business," said Big Square's MD, Sebastian McKinlay, adding, "He has been well compensated after negotiating with the company."Interesting shareholding:
