Vanessa Hudgens Apologizes for Insensitive COVID-19 Remarks

Vanessa Hudgens has apologized over her insensitive "people are going to die" comment on the coronavirus pandemic. The "High School Musical" actress took to her Instagram Live earlier in the week and said, "I'm sorry, but like, it's a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time I'm like, even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible but like, inevitable?" Hudgens faced massive backlash over these remarks, prompting her apology which read in part, "I'm sorry for the way I have offended anyone and everyone who has seen the clip from my Instagram live yesterday".

HBO Max Reportedly Delays 'Friends' Reunion

The much-anticipated Friends Reunion by HBO Max will be delayed amid Coronavirus concerns. The unscripted show which was supposed to start filming next week, may be pushed to May, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Linda Fairstein Sues Ava Duvernay and Netflix for Defamation

Former prosecutor Linda Fairstein has filed a $75,000 defamation suit against "When They See Us" director Ava Duvernay and Netflix. She claims the hit show portrayed her as "a racist, unethical villain who is determined to jail innocent children of color at any cost."She further claims that she has since suffered immeasurable financial, emotional and reputational harm since the film aired in May 2019. "When They See Us" showcased a story about the famous "Central Park 5" boys who were wrongfully convicted of raping a female jogger back in 1989. They were however exonerated in 2002.
