Yvonne Okwara 'Canceled' for Having "Double Standards"
Kenyans on Twitter are taking on Yvonne Okwara, accusing her of double standards based on sentiments she shared on TV Thursday night. The media personality expressed her disappointment when nudes of Brenda, the country's first COVID-19 survivor, made rounds online with the aim of discrediting the government. "This is also proportionately targeted at women. This is all being targeted at Brenda because she is a woman", said the 'News Gang' show host. She further added that social media users should be prosecuted and made accountable for what they post online. However, netizens had differing opinions, calling her out on being a "toxic feminist". Most took to social media platforms to inquire why she did not advocate the same for men whose nudes have also been leaked, most recently being Governor Lonyangapuo. Yvonne is yet to respond to the online backlash.I strongly disagree with Yvonne Okwara. Your statement is not objective. It is emotional and stinks to high heavens. Speaking of which where was your voice when your fellow women stripped a MAN (Lonyangapuo) naked and shared his nude photos? This is toxic

Yvonne Okwara thinks that females are a special being and should be treated with care whereas, the same same women are the one who leaked Lonyangapuo's nudes.?NOTE! when females start losing a battle, they always play a gender card which insane and sick, no gender is special

Women looking to advance in the workplace as well as the political arena must play the gender card to win, to my fellow ladies, this shouldn't be happening in 2020, Yvonne Okwara is a talented journalist but here, she went wrong! We all humans, HUSTLE!

I never saw Yvonne Okwara complaining when Governor Lonyangapuo's Nudes were leaked, When Sonko's Nudes were dropped , when Blaze's Nudes were spread & so many other men. Women in kenyan have mastered the art of double standards. If you want to rebuke evil, do so without bias!?
