The Rundown The Suicide Squad is the do-over of DC Universe's 2016 antihero squad- Suicide Squad. This much anticipated reboot follows a team of incarcerated supervillains who undertake high-risk black ops secret missions in exchange for either parole, work release, and/or reduced prison sentences. The ReviewBelle Reve is the biggest, baddest prison where the sickest super-villains are incacerated. They're offered a quid pro quo by state security agents. Agree to be "recruited" into Task Force X to destroy Jötunheim, a Nazi-era prison and laboratory in the South American island nation of Corto Maltese that holds political prisoners and a site for secretive experiments. In return, they get their freedom or reduced sentences . What ensues is total mayhem as Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone's favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Go on a rampage in Corto Maltese. Blowing up heads, slicing necks, shooting up 'dictators' and swallowing up soldiers. It's gore, blood and sprinkles of hilarity here and there. We get a glimpse of some of the antiheroes backstories and American imperialism is also put on blast. Shout out to 'woke' hollywood for that. Lol! DC went all out with this reboot.
