The People Vs Him  is a riveting stage play with its foundation based on the words, What is the Value of Truth When Truth Becomes Your Enemy.
An original story by Ms.NINA of Minefields who, with the guidance of Orina Brian Christopher (Journal of Orina), is shedding a light on the impact of "Toxic Feminism" on the male gender.
In her own words, Ms.NINA describes the current version of feminism as an easy way out for women which has allowed the demonizing of men. The People vs Him is a courtroom drama which follows the trial of Robert Joseph alias 'Bobby Joe' who has been falsely accused of rape by his own step sister Becca Mwadime.
The drama unfolds with various witnesses being called to the stand, all pointing a finger at Bobby Joe the 'monster'. Each character on the stage is a representation of the various stands WE as the people have when it comes to issues concerning men.
No one stops to question, what if the woman is wrong and the man is right? Ms.NINA and Orina Brian hope that The People vs Him will open up doors to a series of productions that aim to talk more of the challenges facing the modern-day man. Topics such as gender-based violence against men, and men's mental health are on the top of the list.
Watch this riveting play at Ukumbi Mdogo at the Kenya Cultural Center from 26th to 27th March.
