“Scream 5”: Blast from the Past

Scream 5 is the fifth film of the Scream franchise of slasher films that debuted 26 years ago in 1996. Scream rewrote the history of horror movies by satirizing horror itself. The small sleepy town of Woodsboro has witnessed unimaginable horror over the years from serial killers. But it’s been awhile since any murders were reported in the town and our hero Sherrif Dewey Riley is settling well into retirement when the murders start again. The killings have familiar characteristics and it’s up to sheriff Dewey to keep the past in the past.
