Some movies come out and you just know they're not for you. Night of the Zoopocalypse is one of those movies for me. It's got animals, chaos, zombie-like gum beasts, and a whole storyline unfolding in a zoo. Not a single part of that makes me want to grab some popcorn.
First of all, I'm not an animal person. I know, shocking. But talking wolves, heroic lions, or emotional pandas just doesn't do it for me. So when I heard this movie is about an alien virus crashing into a zoo and turning animals into mindless monsters, I just… shrugged. Nothing in me lit up. No curiosity spark. Just a quiet "Okay, next."
But maybe, just maybe, that's the whole point. Sometimes the best stories are the ones you never expected to like. Maybe I need to get out of my comfort zone, switch things up a bit, and see what it's all about. Who knows? I might end up enjoying it... even if I still don't care much for talking animals.
