You've read about young Kenyan environmental activists making a difference. Now meet Avery Mumbua Muoki, a 10 year old student at Nova Pioneer Academy. A budding environmentalist, Avery is the author of a book titled "Amber the Brave".
Her book is about Amber, a young girl who decides to take up the fight against pollution in her village which emanates from the nearby steel factory. The book is about being brave and resilient and offers lessons on environmental conservation.
Environmental conservation is crucial in the age of global warming and who better to teach kids about this than another child?
Kids aged nine and above will enjoy this book to be launched in the first week of March at her school and purchase options will be made available to the public soon.
