Angelli has been working hard to pay off her restaurant's debt but she might end up losing it. Jose Emilio was willing to pay off the payment but since the two separated, Angelli refused his help. Rebecca further complicated the situation by hiding the notices Angelli received from the bank. Since she did not respond to them, the bank ended up putting the restaurant up for sale.

Luckily, Angelli's friends offered to pay for the loan so that Angelli would not lose her family's restaurant. They agreed to join become partners until Angeli was able to pay them back. Unfortunately, Monica, Jose Emilio's Aunt, beat them to it. She has never liked Angelli and thinks that she is only after their family fortune. Hoping to frustrate Angelli, she paid off the debt and named Rebecca as the owner.

Angelli had just fired Rebecca from the restaurant after she found him in bed with Jose Emilio but she returned as the new owner. Rebecca put Angelli to work in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes. Angelli thought it was a provocation to make her leave, so she stayed and agreed to work in the kitchen. Rebecca keeps on frustrating Angelli by making her do menial jobs at her own restaurant.
