Rebecca is expecting a child and claims Jose Emilio is the father! She had been seeing Misael and found out about the pregnancy weeks ago but decided to wait for the opportune moment in order to trap Jose Emilio.

Angelli and Jose Emilio's marriage faced problems after Santiago was accused of killing Dulce. They tried to work things out but everything fell apart after Angelli found Jose Emilio in bed with Rebecca. She decided that their marriage was over and filed for divorce.

Jose Emilio refused to give up on Angelli and tried to win her back but she would not listen to him. He therefore decided to sign the divorce papers like Angelli wanted. Scared of losing him, Angelli finally forgave him and the two got back together. Although they had both signed the divorce papers, they would not get them filed.

Angelli and Jose Emilio joined the family for a birthday party to share the good news of their reconciliation. Rebecca was invited too and took the chance to tell everyone about her pregnancy. Angelli decided to end her relationship with Jose Emilio because she wants his child to have a father.
