The 2019 census is coming up and it'll be different from the previous ones. Here is how:
Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) officials will conduct the exercise using a
computer-aided personal interviewing technique (CAPI).
The administrators will survey with the help of a tablet computer that will be used to capture the information directly for faster processing and better accuracy.
What you need to Know:
- The 2019 census will run on the night of 24th and 25th August. It is important to note that the head of the household or any other responsible member of the particular household will provide the required detailed outlined in the questionnaire. This information will be for those who spent the night in the household during the interview exercise.
- It's important that everyone participates in the 2019 census. This exercise is carried out by the government to helps streamline its planning process.
