On Saturday, April 12th, 2025, KE4KE lit up Alloy Bar & Lounge in Nairobi — and I'm still not over it. From the sound to the surprise performances to the crowd energy, it was more than just a concert — it was a full-on celebration of us. Kenyan music, Kenyan talent, Kenyan everything.
First off, a huge shoutout to Alloy for the vibe they set. The venue was the perfect mix of cozy and energetic. The downstairs area had a lively, up-close feel, while the upstairs offered a more laid-back spot with a great view of the stage. Whether you were dancing front and center or kicking back upstairs, the lighting, layout, and energy kept you in the moment.
Gordon's came through as one of the official sponsors — and honestly, that complimentary welcome cocktail set the tone from the jump. It was the perfect touch to kick off the night, and everyone definitely appreciated it!
The lineup? Absolutely stacked. The performances? Wild. The energy? Unmatched.
Charisma owned the stage from the get-go. You could tell he lives for the stage; his energy was contagious, and just when the crowd thought it couldn't get any better, Bensoul jumped on stage. Together, they performed their viral hit Disko, sending the crowd into a frenzy!
Chris Kaiga brought his signature smooth flow to the stage, effortlessly owning the moment. Just like Kameshika Signal, he lit up the crowd, sending waves of energy through the room. And when he brought out surprise guest Ndovu Kuu, they took the performance to a whole new level.
Not to be outdone, Wanavokali brought the soulful vibes, and in a surprise twist, Kethan joined them on stage for a performance that had everyone in awe. The night was full of surprises, and the energy never slowed down.
And of course, we can't forget the Babaz — their performance was everything you expect from them: high energy, crowd interaction, and the perfect vibes to keep everyone moving.
Kibunja, our MC for the night, kept things sizzling between sets. The man knows how to work a crowd — playful, bold, and hyped without ever overdoing it.
Now, let's talk about the bands that really made this event unforgettable:
Tha Movement brought their signature high-octane, instrument-heavy sound, taking the energy to new heights. And then there was Jukebox The Band — the perfect addition, with seamless transitions between tracks and feel-good grooves that had the crowd swaying and jumping in sync. Their ability to support the artists while shining on their own proved why they're one of Kenya's most respected live acts today.
What hit me the most, though? The sense of togetherness. You could spot familiar faces — artists and creatives — who weren't even performing but came through to support. That's what made it more than a show. It felt like a family gathering for the culture.By the end of the night, my voice was gone, my feet were sore, and my heart was full. KE4KE gave us a night that will be etched in our memories — a celebration of Kenyan talent that's not just growing but dominating. It was an honor to be part of that unforgettable moment, witnessing the heartbeat of our music scene come alive!
