Women's History Month is an annual global celebration of women who have inspired future generations. Across the world, events are held in honour of amazing women throughout the month of March. It is also the month of International Women’s Day. This year’s theme as announced by UN Women is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” Here are Feminist/Women’s rights Organizations in Kenya putting in the work to offer support and civic education to women and the general public in Kenya: Feminists Conversation KE Is a collective of feminists and socialists working towards the liberation of women, gender and sexual minorities from patriarchal domination and economic oppression. They work with grassroots communities to raise consciousness by creating conversation platforms to root out the ideological domination that leads to discrimination, oppression, and exploitation. Feminists in Kenya Feminists in Kenya (FIK) is a intersectional feminism organization, conveneres of #TotalshutdownKE (2018) and human rights advocacy group based in Nairobi. CREAW Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW) is a national feminist/women’s rights Non-Governmental Organization committed to combating Gender Based Violence.  GROOTS Grassroots Organizations Operating Together in Sisterhood (Groots) is a National movement of grassroots women-led community-based groups (CBOs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Kenya. They work  To facilitate grassroots women effective engagement in development through movement building, leadership and advocacy. INEND The Initiative for Equality and Non-Discrimination (INEND) is a local not-for-profit organisation that undertakes strategic actions towards equality, acceptance and inclusion of women and special minorities in the Coast Region of Kenya.  Voices of Women in Western Kenya (VOWWEK) Voices of Women In Western Kenya (VOWWEK) is a community-based rights advocacy organisation led by women who are committed to increasing the participation of marginalized rural women in social justice advocacy in Western Kenya.
