Lorena escaped from prison to find the real culprit behind the murder she was accused of, but this is proving to be more difficult than she had initially thought. Her lawyer, Alejandro, did his best to help her and was on the verge of finding the evidence they have been looking for but things did not go as planned.

Lorena was convicted because a bank manager was able to forge bank statements that proved Lorena had been receiving money from Juan Pablo, and was motive for her to have killed him.  The manager went missing after Lorena went to prison but Alejandro was able to find him through his private investigator. The Manager confessed that he had been threatened to create the fake statements needed to prove Lorena's guilt. Since he needed money for his sister's surgery, he accepted the offer to lie in court. He however regretted what he had done and agreed to testify this in court so that Lorena could be acquitted.

On the day the bank manager was going to bring the banker to give his statement to the judge, he never showed up. He turned up at a hospital, brutally beaten. He called the prosecutor and instead reported Lorena for beating him up. He claimed that she attacked him for refusing to change his testimony.

The Marquez family was able to get to the witness before he changed his statement and even made him add more charges against Lorena. Will she ever be able to prove her innocence?
