Mexican actress, Elizabeth Gutierrez is set to make her telenovela comeback with Telemundo's new series, Velvet: The New Empire. She has been away from the small screen for over a decade while she and William Levy were raising their kids, Christopher and Kailey. Her last telenovela was in The Face of Vengeance in 2012. Other notable appearances included Corazon Salvaje and Olvidarte Jamas.

After the long hiatus, the actress finally confirmed that she is getting back to work. She shared a video online while on the set of the highly anticipated series, Velvet.

"Yesterday I told you I had great news for you, and here I am to share how happy I am to return to my home, Telemundo, with the great production, Velvet! To all of you who've asked me when I'm coming back, well, here I am…" she shared said excitedly.

The actress did not share any details about her role. She will now join other notable actors such as Carolina Miranda, Danilo Carrera , Itatí Cantoral , Sonya Smith , and Aylín Mujica in Velvet: The New Empire, which is set to premiere later this year.
