David Zepeda will team up with Eva Cedeno for the first time to headline Televisa's new telenovela, which is tentatively titled "A.mar".

A.mar tells the story of Estrella Contreras (Cedeño), a single mother who struggles to raise her daughter, Azul. After the death of her father, Estrella finds herself forced to return to her hometown where she meets Fabián Bravo (Zepeda), a widower and fisherman by trade, who is fighting to regain custody of his daughter Yazmín. Fabián and Estrella fall in love and must face various adversities to consolidate their love and raise their families.

"It is an extremely well-structured story, a story of overcoming, a story that is also 100% familiar, a story that people will identify with, especially the values ​​it highlights," said Zepeda during the show press conference.

Meanwhile, Eva Cedeno shared that it was a story that was going to empower women. "It is about a strong woman, a woman devoted to her family, a woman who wants to get ahead, but that scenario seems impossible because she is in a fishing village dominated by men where a union, in which our beloved Fabián Bravo works, makes Estrella's life impossible for being a woman… I think it's great to open up the possibility that women can do whatever we set our minds to…"
