Telenovela star, Danilo Carrera, has signed an exclusive contract with Telemundo.  The Ecuadorian first started his career with Telemundo but was able to build his reputation with Televisa where he worked on shows such as Passion and Power, Daughters of the Moon and To Want it All. His last project with Televisa was El Amor Invinsible alongside Angelique Boyer.

After wrapping up El Amor Invinsible, Danilo Carrera announced that he would be taking a break in order to take care of his ailing mother who was diagnosed with cancer. The actor moved to Miami and had been on hiatus for 4 months before revealing that he had signed a contract with Telemundo.  The announcement was made by the actor during his appearance on Telemundo's show,  Hoy Día..
During his talk with Hoy Dia hosts Anette Cuburu, Daniel Arenas, Andrea Meza and Chiky Bombom, the actor talked about how his mother's health had improved.  He also expressed his excitement in returning to Telemundo.
"At Telemundo, I started my career as a child, and 12 years later I returned as a man. What has not changed is my desire to succeed in everything I set my mind to. I am excited to start this new stage and give rise to the great projects that we will create together. I feel super excited, because I am fulfilling another dream, which is to be working in Miami again, very happy…" he said.
Telemundo also announced the signing, adding that the actor will headline some of their original productions.  "Carrera will be the protagonist of several original productions from Telemundo Global Studios, in addition to having important participations in entertainment programs and specials," read the text.
