Sensory writers should be celebrated because more than crafting thrilling reads, their stories shed light on the filmmaking industry. A good example is J.K. Rowling's super-sensory wizardry world of Hogwarts that made screens flicker with the unforgettable Harry Potter series, or the fantasy sci-fi film 'The Dark Tower,' based on the works of Stephen King.
In as much as nothing is interesting unless you're interested, most fans of cinema have blatantly admitted to enjoying the fictional universes more in print than on the screens. The reason they lean on is, that in the movie version some details get watered down. To give a for-instance, the 2007 movie version of 'The Golden Compass,' by Philip Pullman, shattered most of the action that had been baked into the book.
The book sets unforgettable scenes that keep readers on the edges of their seats, spell-binding adventures that leave readers gasping for breath. One of these bad-ass scenes is when a bear knocks another bear's jaw off! In the movie however, this face-widening scene has been weakened. It's a kind of a 'quick jaunt' into the fictitious world.
Books carry readers to new worlds and set them up as observers of detailed events, unforeseen twists, and daring suspense that gives a reason to take some time off to limp with a big sigh. Nothing is left out in writing; movie wheels turn in the reader's head and all senses come alive.
But then, there's no experience that beats that of reading a book before watching its film adaptation!
Here is a list of three upcoming biggest book-to-movie adaptations.
1. The Woman In The Window, By A.J. Finn
Genre: Fiction, Thriller, Suspense, Psychological thriller.
Anna Foxx, a Brooklyn agoraphobic, gets to know a new neighbouring family. While spying on them she witnesses a blood-curdling act of violence, and it hits her that they are not normal kind of neighbours. Directed by Joe Wright, it stars Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Wyatt Russel, and Julianne Moore among others. 'The Woman in the Window' is currently filming and will be released in 2019. The book debuted at no. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list and has claimed the praise 'biggest-selling adult fiction title of 2018.'

2. In the Garden of Beasts, By Erik Larson
Genre: Drama
Erik Larson's masterpiece recounts the career of the first American ambassador to Germany, as it masterfully melds love and terror. It ferries readers back in time to Hitler's first year in power. The ambassador's daughter wants to escape a dead marriage to a New York banker, and therefore accompanies her father to Berlin. But does she know what awaits her?
In the article 'Perched in Berlin With Hitler Rising,' the New York Times intimated that this story has the clarity of purpose to see the Germany of 1933 through the eyes of this uniquely well-positioned American family.
The studio is pretty tight-lipped about the project. So far, there is little information on the director and cast for the movie version of this intriguing story.
3. The Nightingale, By Kristin Hannah
Genre: Crime, Drama, Mystery
World War II sets in and a caravan of Nazi's trucks and tanks invades France. Rotors of fighter-birds slash through the skies as bombs are dropped to the wailings and chaos on the ground. In the wake of this funereal disaster, the lives of two sisters living in France get ripped apart.
The movie is being directed by Michelle MacLaren who has directed episodes of 'Game Of Thrones' and 'Breaking Bad'. The Nightingale casts Sam Claflin, Damon Herriman, Aisling Franciosi, and Ewen Leslie. It's at pre-production stage and is set to be released on the 25th of January, 2019.
