Filipino actresses, Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana are set to share credits for GMA's 2024 series, Widow's War. The chance to work together is now possible after Bea Alonzo transferred from her previous network, ABSCBN, where she was a leading actress for almost 20 years. She already filmed her first series under GMA, Love Befor Sunrise, alongside Dennis Trillo.
Carla Abellana has been an exclusive artist with GMA since 2011 and has topbilled shows such as Legacy and My Destiny. She was rumored to be transferring to another networks but she clarified the issue via Instagram, saying that she was excited to work with Bea Alonzo.
"1. I'm still a Kapuso. 2. I'm finally going to be working with THE Bea Alonzo," she said on her Instagram post that featured the teaser trailer of their new show.
Widow's War is set to premiere later this year. The two actresses will be joined by Gabbi Garcia, Benjamin Alves and Jean Garcia.
