Directed by Ahmed Farah, Ayaanle is a suspenseful drama with gripping tension from start to end, exploring a radicalization story that needs to be told from an African perspective. It is an East African film made by Somalis and Kenyans, two communities that have been at the centre of the war against terrorism in the horn of Africa. Ahmed says, "As a Somali man who has lived in Kenya for many years, I have seen and heard of many young men who have fallen into the clutches of dangerous individuals. I was inspired to write and direct this story after travelling across Somalia and Kenya interviewing imprisoned former terrorists who were radicalized at a young age."Watch Trailer HEREThere's an exclusive screening on 24th June and tickets will be available on KenyaBuzz soon for public viewing.
