Many Game of Thrones fans will probably tell you that they’re #TeamKhaleesi all the way. Seeing as how she literally came from nothing to what I would consider the most powerful contender to the iron throne.

But what many viewers haven’t thought about is the possibility of Daenerys not being the oh so fair Queen we all want her to be. The show is almost wrapping up and HBO executives could be buttering us up for an ‘evil’ Daenerys.

Here are some facts about Daenerys that we’ve seen so far in the 6 seasons of the show that could just prove that she’s eventually going to turn to the dark side.

1. It’s a song of ice and fire

Game of Thrones is based on the series of books by George R.R. Martin titled; A Song of Ice and Fire. One could view these two sides as good and evil respectively. And if you think about it, which characters on the show fit the ice and fire description? Jon Snow and Daenerys obviously. And judging which character between the two would end up being evil, all clues point to Daenerys.

2. She’s blood hungry

Judging from the Season 6 episode 6 speech that Dany gave her newly acquired Dothraki Khalassar, she’s out for blood. In previous conquests, she would free slaves and before anyone swore fealty to her, she would declare them free men and that they could chose to leave her leadership whenever they wanted. This time she didn’t. It was all about what she wanted. The iron throne! She commanded them to follow her across the black salt sea, and kill the men in their iron suits to give her the seven kingdoms.  Even Daario Naharis, her #1 piece of arm candy seems concerned.

3. She’s vengeful

The Targaryens were the original rulers of Westeros but were usurped by Robert Baratheon and killed off to make sure no one else had claim to the iron throne. Daenerys and her older brother Viserys escaped the carnage though. With her father’s throne being taken and family killed off you can imagine just how vengeful she is against the current monarchs in Westeros.

4. She has dragons

                                                                                                                                                                        Image via HBO

Dragons are viewed as creatures born of evil and that bring nothing but pain and destruction. And who has three of them? This could easily tie Dany to the dark side. She’s going to use these dragons to take the iron throne, to quote some of her most famous words, “I will take what is mine! With fire and blood, I will take it!”

5. She’s tasted power

                                                                                                                                                                        Image via HBO

Daenerys has come a long way from being an exile in Pentos and being married off to Khal Drogo. She has conquered 5 cities: Qarth, Astapor, Yunkai, Meeren and Vaes Dothrak. This is a long list of accomplishments for someone who had nothing at the beginning of the show. And with all these people that refer to her as queen, an unsullied army of 8,000 soldiers, a blood thirsty Dothraki horde and three massive fire breathing dragons, who can stop her? Giving all this power to one person can often get to their head and dissociate them from reality.

6. She’s a Targaryen

Madness was common in the Targaryen blood line. Over 300 years of heavy inbreeding to "keep the bloodline pure," resulted in many of the medical problems seen with incest, particularly mental instability. Daenerys' father, King Aerys II Targaryen, went bonkers and was popularly called "the Mad King". So seeing Dany slowly follow in the footsteps of her father wouldn’t be shocking. The "mad Queen" has long been a theory among fans of the show and we could finally get that theory into realization.

The Khaleesi might be a character favorite to many of us but there’s no denying that Game of Thrones could make her a villain at anytime, or even worse, kill her off. Tell us what you think. Do you see Daenerys turning evil or is it just me?
