Café Tasse offers a wide and changing variety of home-made German cakes and cookies made with real butter and cream! Feel like a small meal? Choose from their selection pizzas, pastas or their sandwiches made with their own Ciabatta buns. Although separate, part of the set-up is the Italian Gelati which will get your tastebuds buzzing with over 36 flavors to choose from. The best ice cream in town!
Cuisine: Home baked German cakes and cookies, light Italian meals, wide variety of Italian ice creams including seven sugar and fat free flavors.
Most popular dish: Karura Forest Cake, Chicken Lasagne, sandwiches with own Ciabatta bread.
Special features: Cake and ice cream orders for special occasions, take-away, and upstairs 9 PCs connected via ACCESS Kenya will take you to the www in a comfortable environment. Internet telephone services are also available.
At the moment, Café Tasse is only running a coffee shop - coffees and teas, cakes, cookies, fresh juices, milkshakes and smoothies.
Sandwiches are also available, veg and chicken lasagne, a few fresh salads (Greek, Italian, summer salad) as well as snacks such as samosas, chicken pokets and prawn cakes.
Once the renovation of the restaurant space at RaMoMa is completed, the café will be running a full restaurant mainly for breakfast, lunch and afternoon meals/snacks.
The ice cream parlour "Italian Gelati" is located in Krishna Park (3rd Parklands Avenue - between Nakumatt and Aga Khan Hospital, same side as the hospital). It has what we and our customers think is the best icecream in Nairobi!
37 flavours plus 7 sugar and fat free flavours, cones that do not taste of cardboard box and a clean, friendly and safe environment open weekdays upto 10pm and Fridays and Saturdays upto 11pm.
